David "Dave" D. Ahlstrand
David "Dave" D. Ahlstrand, 66 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln. He was born on January 23, 1956 in Lincoln to Lawrence and Lauretta (Staack) Ahlstrand. Dave grew up in Lincoln and moved to Beatrice in 2007. He worked for Nebraska Public Power for 30 years. Dave married Lucinda Hanks on October 27, 2010. He never met a stranger and loved flying, airplanes and his dogs, Daisy and Dixie.
Dave is survived by his wife, Lucinda; son, Greg Ahlstrand and wife Emily of Missouri; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Rita Hydo and husband John of Beatrice, Sandy Ham of Lincoln; and brothers, Mark Ahlstrand and Scott Ahlstrand and wife Shannon, both of Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Anita and Mona Marie.
There will be no services at this time. Memorials are suggested to the Public Broadcasting Service in care of the mortuary. Condolences may be left online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com. Harman-Wright Mortuary & Crematory in Beatrice in charge of arrangements.

Dave was a funny guy, always happy, he would always make me laugh. Had some tough times but would always smile and keep on moving ahead. RIP buddy. May God speed!
