Dean L. Doyle
Dean L. Doyle, DDS, 85 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center. He was born on April 4, 1934 in Odell to Harley and Minnie (Beveridge) Doyle. Dean graduated from Odell High School and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln College of Dentistry in 1959. He married Phyllis Finch in Wymore on June 12, 1955. Dean served his country in the United States Air Force from June 11, 1959 to June 10, 1962. He owned and operated Dental Implant Center in Beatrice and Kansas City, retiring in 2007. Dean was a pioneer in implant dentistry, a founding member of Hidden Acres Golf Course and was key in building the Rolla-Rena and developing Lake LaDu. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice where he was in the church choir, Sertoma, Jaycees, Masonic Lodge, Sesostris Shrine, Beatrice Airport Authority Board, Homestead Harmonizers, Nebraska Dental Association, AAID, the band "Brass with Class" and was a flight instructor for many years. Dean enjoyed music, fishing, hunting, flying, was an avid Husker and Royals fan and especially enjoyed his family and following all his grandchildren's activities.
Dean is survived by his wife, Phyllis; children, Eldene Doyle and husband Don Greer of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Debby Cass and husband Tom, Tim Doyle and wife Sonya, both of Beatrice; grandchildren, Jeff Cass, Patrick Doyle and wife Ashley, Katie Doyle, Ian Doyle; step-grandchildren, Bryan Greer and wife Nikki, Becky Greer and husband Joshua Alonzo; great grandchildren, Morgan Greer, Elliot Greer, Shiloh Alonzo; brother-in-law, Don Finch; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marguerite Parker and husband David; and brothers, Francis Doyle and wife Areta and Myrlan Doyle and wife Dorothy.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice with Pastor Mark Schutt officiating. Interment with military rites by the United States Air Force and American Legion Post 27 will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6 to 7 P.M. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association with Wayne and Chris Schulz in charge. Condolences may be left online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com.
