Scott Douglas Stream age 57, of York, NE died Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Utica, NE. He was born August 30, 1968, in Wisconsin, to Richard and Shirley (Poterfield) Stream and graduated from Beatrice High School in 1986. Scott had previously worked at the Vise-Grip Plant in DeWitt, NE, then was employed at Husqvarna at Beatrice and then at the Nestle' Company in Crete. He finished his employment serving York County as a correctional officer at the York County Sheriff's office. Scott enjoyed traveling especially to Las Vegas, Branson, Hawaii and the Dakotas with his fiancé Sherry Kranz, who preceded him in death just last week. Fishing was a favorite pastime with his son Jarod and enjoyed watching him race. He was a loyal, caring friend to all, who loved to gamble and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Jarod of Lincoln, NE, and Juliette Wheeler who by all means was like a daughter he never had; his father, Richard (Shirley) Stream of Lady Smith, Wisconsin; two brothers, David (Janet) Stream of Geneseo, KS., and Kevin Stream of Clayton, WI.; one sister, Kelly (John) Froemel and family of Hayward, WI.; and Sherry's grandchildren, Keegan and Olivia of Omaha, NE and Brynlee of York.

He was preceded in death by his mother and fiancé, Sherry Kranz.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice, NE. Scott has been cremated so there will be no viewing. Memorials may be directed to Stiff Person Syndrome Research Foundation or Children's Nebraska Hospital.
