Buddy Copeland Obituary

1934 - 2015 Buddy Adair Copeland, 81, of Sour Lake, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on November 2, 1934, in Sour Lake, to Nettie Mae Cannon Copeland and Andrew Copeland, and had been a lifelong resident of Sour Lake. Buddy was in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Buddy's Package Store in Sour Lake for thirty-three years. He is survived by his sister, Glynda Hunter; nieces, Stacy Swearingen, Stephanie Tay, and Chaille Drake; nephew, Grady Buck McClusky; great-nephews, Jacob Swearingen and Joshua Swearingen; great-niece, Meghan Tay; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Buddy is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Woodrow Copeland, Naomi Martin, Alfred Copeland, and Theta June McClusky. A gathering of Mr. Copeland's family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Sour Lake. Complete and updated information may be found at: broussards1889.com.
