Charles Haley Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Ray Haley, age 56, will be held on Friday, February 15, 2008, 11:00 A.M., at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel. Mr. Haley passed away on February 12, 2008, at his residence in Shelby County. He was born on February 22, 1951, in Beaumont, Texas, to Charles R. Haley II and Thelma Williams Haley. He was a rancher in Shelby County and was a member of the Folsom Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Chad Haley and wife Nicki of Center, Joe Nelson Haley of Weatherford; granddaughter, Alaina Grace Haley of Center; sisters, Billy and Gay Haley Kinard of Beaumont, Joel and Becki Haley Halbert of San Augustine; nieces, Dr. Rob and Lorian Gobert of West Columbia; Katie Gobert of Beaumont; nephews, Matt and Liz Mullis of Grapevine and great- niece, Julieana Gobert of West Columbia. Visitation will be Thursday, 5-8 P.M. at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel. In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to M.D. Anderson Hospital, in memory of Charles Ray Haley III, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030- 4095. I am truly saddened to hear this news. Charles Ray, Joey Colburn and myself ran together for many years and have some great memories between us. Becki you and Gaynell as well as the rest of your
families will be in my prayers. I wish I could be there for the service on Friday but because of prior commitments I will not be able to get away. Even though we have not seen each other in awhile It seems like not long ago we were walking the halls of Vidor High. I will remember Charles Ray as a very good friend...
