Frederick Rape Obituary
Frederick passed away at his home on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
A longtime resident of Brookeland, Texas. Frederick owned and operated Jasper Lawn Service for many years. He was an active member in the Curtis United Methodist Church. Frederick enjoyed Hunting and Fishing and also, collecting knives and ducks, but what he really loved the most was spending time with his family.
Frederick is survived by his wife Marleta Sue Payne of Brookeland, Texas; his mother in law, Helen Joyce Balke of Hitchcock, Texas; son, David Lee Rape and wife Katherine of Beaumont, Texas; Three daughters, Megan Elizabeth Gallier and husband, Kyle of Hamshire, Texas, Amanda Bofferding and husband, Nick of Cedar Park, Texas and Christina Turrubiate and husband, Jimmy of Anahuac, Texas; Brother, David Joplin of Florida; Sister, Linda Kay Stansbury and husband Jace of Nederland, Texas; Brother in law, Robert Balke of Texas City, Texas; and 22 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Frederick Rape and Pauline Rape.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and caregivers of Gentiva Hospice for their love and care of Frederick.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.

Condolences for Fred´s family. I knew him a lifetime ago when I had a restaurant. He worked for US Foods (I think) and would come by every week to take my order. I always liked him and we shared a lot of laughs back then.
