Leslie wasn't only my son David´s employer, she had over the years become family. No matter the occasion, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter (after attending church with my son and I), Nana´s (my mom) birthday, or any other celebration, she was there. It didn't matter whether we were at my Mom's house, my niece's house, or one of the local restaurants, Leslie and sometimes her sister, Becky, had become a welcome part of our traditions. Even though she wasn´t born into it, she was family.

Until her health failed, Nana enjoyed spending time at the nursery. A memorable highlight was the year she helped make arrangements for Valentines Day. Whether helping or just getting out of the house her favorite thing was sitting and visiting with Leslie.

Leslie´s fierce independence meant that she never asked for help and would actively deny assistance unless there was something she absolutely couldn't do for herself (like figuring out how to start her new vehicle, lol).

She was admired, respected, loved and sometimes feared and she will be greatly missed.

I´m so sorry for your loss. Praying for her family. I wish I had of known her longer. She was such a sweet kindhearted person. She always had an ear to listen and knew just what to say. Gonna miss our nights at the gate talking, laughing and just catching up. She will be truly missed.
