L.M. "Pee-Wee" Paul

L.M. Pee-Wee Paul, 81, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, in Beaumont, at his home. He was born January 15, 1931, in Oakdale, Louisiana, to Hardy and Dolly Paul. Throughout his early years he had a passion for music, playing in a band for several years. Another one of his hobbies was tinkering and remodeling classic cars. As for his career, he managed the foundry for Standard Brass and studied metallurgy. As his career progressed he was promoted to the President of the company as it grew into what is now known as Standard Alloys in Port Arthur. During this period he also served on the Board of Directors for Blue Tee Corporation which owned Standard Alloys at the time. After nearly fifty years with Standard Alloys he decided to retire. For ten years after retirement he served as a consultant for the company to help with their foundry. Throughout his retirement he raised cattle, horses, and also grew hay on his farm. He had a strong passion for farming and working in his shop and lending a helping hand to his family, friends, neighbors, or whoever may need one. But the most joy was when it came time to visit with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of nearly fifty-seven years, Bonnie Paul; children, Karen Paul Stinson and her husband, Gary, Charles Paul and his wife, Lori, Charlotte Turner, and Wayne Paul; grandchildren, Jesse Stinson, Jacob Stinson, Victoria Paul, Preston Paul, Regan Paul, Adam Tynes, Chris Wiley; and many close friends. A gathering of his family and friends will begin at 12:00 Noon with his memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Cremation arrangements were handled by Broussard's. The family would like to thank the medical staff at M.D. Anderson for all their services that they provided.
