Lula Mae Richard

Lula Mae Richard of Groves, Texas passed away on Sunday August 24, 2008 at her home, she was 79. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 18, 1928 to Leona Chachere Tweedel and Charles Tweedel, Sr. Lula lived in the Port Arthur area all of her life and attended school at St. James. She was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Tuesday August 26, 2008 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 7 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. J.C. Coon serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Dale Richard. She is survived by her loving husband Albert Richard, Sr. of Groves, Texas, daughters Donna Richard of Austin, Texas, Anna Knowles of Groves, Texas, Debby Lynch and her husband Mike of San Antonio, Texas, Cynthia Richard and her husband Mark of San Antonio, Texas and sons Albert Richard, Jr. and his wife Mona of Dallas, Texas, Craig Richard and his wife Cori-Ann of Mentone, California along with 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Charlene Duplant of Port Neches, Texas, brothers James Tweedel of Port Arthur, Texas and Ray Tweedel of Buna, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
