Growing up, I spent a large amount of time at the Richard's house. Mae was very no nonsense and sometimes I find myself repeating things to my girls that I'm sure I first heard from Mae. Much love to Cynthia and her siblings.

Richard Family,
Please know that our hearts and prayers are with you at this time of loss. Mae's love will be with us always, thru the things she gave while she was here. Her laugh, smile, and faith.
I learned alot about being a Mom from the way she loved and cared for my girls, "ShooShoo" and "Turkey". Her recipes live on to the delight of many, shrimp balls, mustard fried chicken, pancakes, jelly cookies, chocolate crinkle cookies.
These are cherished memories of a special lady.

My heart and prayers are with the Richard family at this time of loss. What a wonderful woman and mother Mrs Richard must have been - her legacy of strength, wry wisdom, sense of fun live on in her daughter, Donna.
