My deepest condolences to Vince, Linda, Janice, Verdell, and "the grands." Ms Vicki was like a mother to me. I was blessed to have her in my life and I will forever cherish the time we spent talking, laughing, crying, and just being "silly." She loved her family fiercely. She was a beautiful, strong, and spiritual woman who was loved by everyone she encountered. The void she left in my life is deep and can never be filled. I find comfort in knowing that her transition was peaceful as she joyfully joined Rod and her mother whom she missed dearly. Rest In Peace my dear dear friend. I love you.

My life was so greatly enriched with Vicki as a dear friend. What a special lady! I will miss our regular visits and especially our annual birthday lunches together! I will miss her special dog, Tip. Our birthdays are only a few days apart (although she was 36 years older than me - ha!). I thought she might live long enough for us to celebrate my 100th birthday one day - lol!
What a blast it was to watch her play tennis when she was still in her 90's. With Mike Doty, I was a witness to one of the greatest comebacks in world tennis history with Vicki serving that is forever etched in my memory. I asked Mike if he had ever seen anything like it, and he said, "Never!" We loved watching Wimbledon together ... Vicki was so engaging and into the games!
Being there when Vicki got baptized again at the age of 100 to show the world she loved Jesus and to start her second century of living was a one of a kind experience. Vicki lived life to the fullest and the memories I have will be a joy and encouragement for the rest of my life. She left a legacy of joy, class, and love to all everywhere she went. Heaven is a richer place today!
