Zelma Sargent Obituary

1926 - 2016 Zelma Ruth Cherry Sargent of Highlands Ranch, CO passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 22nd. Services will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 9770 S. Foothills Canyon Rd. in Highlands Ranch, CO with burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Mrs. Sargent was born Zelma Ruth Cherry in Cathage, Texas on May 21, 1926. Many of her friends simply knew her affectionately as Cherry. She married Bernis Lee Sargent in 1946 and supported him in his medical practice for many years while raising her family. She and Dr. Sargent relocated to Highlands Ranch to be near her children and grandchildren in 1991. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Gropp and her husband Tim Gropp of Highlands Ranch and 5 Grandchildren, Jenny Gropp, Matt Gropp, Heather Gropp, Lee Sargent and Sarah Sargent.
