Eula U. Morgan

Eula Updike Morgan, 82 of Huddleston, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 at Bedford County Nursing Home. She was born on Saturday, Jan. 23, 1932 in Bedford Co., a daughter of the late Edison Odell Updike and Mary Anna Witt Updike. She was also preceded in death by husband, Leonard Voyd Morgan and a son, James Odell Morgan. She was a retired employee of Bedford County Nursing Home after 42 years of dedicated service as a CNA and was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Surviving are her sons, Eddie Morgan, Leonard V. "Slick" Morgan, Jr. and wife, Susan all of Huddleston, Timothy Morgan and wife, Scarlet of Evington, Robert "Buddy" Morgan and special friend, Cristie of Lynch Station; sisters, Mary Anna Krantz of Bedford, Cora Schawmn of Bedford; Brother, Marvin Updike of Huddleston; grandchildren, Brandi Morgan, Justin Morgan, Teresa Morgan, Benny Dale Morgan, Michelle Morgan, Robert Milton, Jesse Milton as well as eleven great grandchildren. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorials to consider Bethesda United Methodist Church, c/o Claudine Preston, 1355 Preston Mill Road, Huddleston, VA 24104. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 at 2 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston with Rev. Wayne Murphy and Rev. Sue Keen officiating. Interment followed in Leftwich Cemetery.
