I have just heard the sad news.
May I add my sincere condolences to those of your many friends? I know there is not much one can say at a time like this, but you can take comfort in the knowledge that Allen had a full life and all of us that knew him benefitted from his love of helping people.

I knew Allen from his many years in the gran business, St. Louis Milling and Grain Club, Merchants Exchange of St. Louis and we will miss him but not forget his friendship.

Beth,

I can't express the sadness I feel upon learning of Allen's passing.

We missed seeing him at Dave's 60th "roast" birthday party & were really looking forward to seeing him this Saturday at the Annuual Milling & Grain Club dinner.

Allen was the most unique, up-beat & fun-loving guy I've ever met.

He will always be "Mr. Redbird" to me.

It saddens me to know that Allen has left an empty space in his family's home.
He will forever be in their hearts and memories. Now, he resides in the eternal home surrounded by ultimate happiness...still smiling. I am an old friend that is grateful for having met him. He always "made me smile". My sincere thoughts and prayers are with his family and most particularly Craig.
May God bless all of you.

It will be the little things
that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now,
it will be the memories
of these little things
that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again.

With Loving Memories. My sincere sympathies. May God Bless you in your time of sorrow.

I met Allen several years ago through a mutual friend Alan Begole. I was having a rough time with my health and was about to have heart surgery. I was extremely worried about the up coming event to take place the following week when Alan suggested I drive out to Lebanon and have lunch with his friend Allen. As it turned out Allen had just gone through the exact same proceedure at the same hospital with the same doctor I was about to undergo. Allen was kind enough, even though he did not know me, to meet with me for lunch and as it turned out stay there with me for the better part of 3 hours and walk me through every detail of the upcoming week. He was not only kind and giving of his time and his compassion but was a wonderful source of information and comfort to me in my time of need. I made it through my surgery and continued to meet with Allen every 6 months to a year to discuss our progress and just sit back and discuss our other mutual interest basketball. I would just like to thank his wife and family for sharing him with us and express to them the sincere heartfelt thank you to them for the kindness Allen expressed to a complete stranger and the warmth, compassion, and strenth he showed me in my hour of need. Thank you again and rest in peace my friend. I am stronger for having know you.

A better man this world has not known, than my friend Allen Toberman. Allen was always and forever warm, welcoming and had a smile on his face. He never met a stranger, and always welcomed you with a big hug and compliment. I'm filled with pride to say Allen was my friend. He will be missed by so many friends and family but especially his wife, Beth, and son, Craig, who loved and adored him I've been praying for my friend night and day since I heard the news and am confident he is with the Lord telling him "You're The Best"! ETERNAL REST GRANT UPON HIM OH LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM. MAY HE REST IN YOUR HEAVENLY PEACE AND LOVE. AMEN.
