Barbara Lanman Obituary
Barbara Lois Lanman, 83, of Belleville, Ill., born Wednesday, Feb. 23, 1927, in Tippecanoe County, Ind., died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, and church choir member, many offices including president of the Wednesday Club, Belleville Women's Club, Civic League, AAUW, Garden Club, life member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Sigma Kappa Sorority, and supporter of St. Louis Symphony.
She was preceded in death by parents, Everett and Margaret, nee Snodgrass, Lanman.
Surviving are many friends.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or First United Presbyterian Church. Condolences may be expressed online at www.kurrusfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Kurrus Funeral Home with Rev Alex Hendrickson officiating. Private interment at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
