Barbara Maxwell

Barbara "Corky" J. Maxwell, 84, of Belleville, Illinois, born Thursday, June 29, 1933, in East Saint Louis, IL, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Mercy Rehabilitation Center in Swansea, Illinois.

Barbara retired as a Grill Cook for ARA Food Service. She was a member VFW Aux. Post 805, Women of the Moose and an avid Cardinal fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Albert and Janet, nee McGhettigan, Maxwell; two brothers, Howard J. Maxwell, and Johnny Maxwell; and two sisters, Eleanor Thompson, and Delores "Dode" Cox.

Surviving are her nieces, Cindy Taylor of Belleville, IL, Beverly Fiss of Belleville, IL, Jackie D. Wright of O'Fallon, IL, and Shara Nichols of Cahokia, IL; as well as many loving great-nieces and great-nephews.
