Barry Rideout Obituary
Barry L. Rideout, 68, of Edwardsville, Ill., born on Nov. 24, 1944, in East St. Louis, Ill. passed away on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Anderson Hospital with his family by his side.
Mr. Rideout worked for and retired from (Rhodia) Monsanto in St. Louis, Mo., and then became a bus driver for the Madison County Transit System for nearly 10 years. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and loved to travel. In his free time Barry loved to play golf, tennis and coach Little League Baseball. His passion was his family, especially his grandkids. Barry will be remembered for his kind heart and the devotion to his family and the many special times shared together.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Otis and Agnes, nee Gould, Rideout; and his brothers, David and Larry Rideout.
Surviving Barry are his wife, Dorothy, nee Wilkinson, Rideout, whom he married on May 7, 1966; two sons, Barry M. (Lori) Rideout of Mt Lebanon, Pa., and Brett Rideout (Julie Weiss) of Glen Carbon, Ill.; five grandchildren, Abbey, Drew, Allison, Sam and Bailey; sisters-in-law, Pat (Tom) McCosky, Kathy (Dick) Orr; brother-in-law, Rick (Rita) Wilkinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends.
In memory of Barry, memorials are suggested to SSM Home Health Care or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon, Ill.
Funeral: In celebration of his life, services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Clint Wisdom officiating. Burial will be at Buck Road Cemetery, St. Jacobs, Ill.

Dorthy, Eva and I are so sorry to hear about the death of Barry. I first heard about it this morning 12-19- when a group of us reitrees got together.
