Swansea, Illinois - Caleb Lawrence Kania, 22, of Swansea, IL, died Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO.

Caleb loved working outside and landscaping. He enjoyed collecting John Deere Miniature Tractors. Caleb was a member of the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts at St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Kania; his grandparents, Lawerence and Cecelia, nee Rybacki, Kania; and his grandfather, James R. Pinson.

Left to mourn his passing are his mother, Gloria, nee Pinson, Kania; a brother, Andrew Kania; two nephews and a niece, Steven Valentine and Robert; and Cheyenne Kania; his grandmother, Joyce Boyer; his godparents, Marsha Pinson Brown, and Scott Ellison; his dear friends, Eric Burns, Demetrius Fields, and Colby Gerlach; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a dear cousin, Stuart Thorn.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Epilepsy Foundation, St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church, or Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Godfrey Mullen officiating.

Burial will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Posen, IL.
