Carolyn Sigl Obituary

Carolyn Johnson Sigl

November 4, 1964 - August 30, 2024

Bradenton, Florida - Carolyn Johnson Sigl, 59, passed away on Aug. 30, 2024 at her home in Bradenton, Florida. Her loving husband John was by her side.

Carolyn was preceded in heaven by her parents Gene and June Johnson of Fairview Heights, Illinois, and by her favorite brother-in-law Gary Montague. Surviving are her husband John Sigl of Bradenton, sister Julie Montague of Overland Park, Kansas, and brother Larry Johnson and sister-in-law Judy of Champaign, Illinois.

Carolyn was an '82 graduate of Belleville West High School, and received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Kansas.

She had many friends, enjoyed laughing and bringing laughter to others. Carolyn had an engaging personality and often spoke her mind, letting the chips fall where they may.

Her interests included gymnastics, swimming, and she was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Carolyn and her husband John watched many NFL games together.

During her childhood Carolyn developed a love of dogs, on more than one occasion persuading her parents to bring a Beagle and Cairn Terrier home. This love of dogs continued with her through adulthood, as she welcomed more Cairn Terriers into her family.

A memorial service and burial took place on September 18th at the Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.

Rest in peace Carolyn. We love you.

Carolyn is so beautifully described in these loving words. In my memory, she will always be that little sister who came into a family that was already established as a group of four. She added much joy to the Johnson household. She was funny and spunky and so loved. Sadness is an inevitable part of all of our journeys. While it is so sad to say goodbye to this young woman, the joy of having known her is a blessing. All my love to you, Larry and Julie. May you always remember the good times

My family vacationed with the Johnson´s for many years. Carolyn and I learned to snow ski together among many other memories. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
