Very sad to hear of Chris' passing. I've had great memories of him as my scout leader, as well as his position as the pack leader. I learned a lot from him during those days. Like most friendships, we drifted apart but it always great running into him at all times. I would see him recently at my workplace as he would come in and shop. I know he was a great person who will be missed by his family and many friends.

So very sorry to hear about Chris's passing. He was a kind and generous man who was always willing to help others. I worked with him in the Science Department at the middle school. I feel lucky to have known him.

Hello, my name is Morgan. I went to Liberty Middle School from the years 2006 to 2009. Mr. Zimmer was my science teacher in 8th grade (2008-2009 school year). I always really enjoyed going to his class because he made it interesting and fun. You could tell how passionate he was not only about science, but sharing his knowledge with us. His class made me really interested in natural science, which I continued to study in college, and am now working in clinical research field in Kansas City. I would like to thank Mr. Zimmer for being such an influential person who helped me discover that I loved science.

My father saw Mr. Zimmer quite frequently at the YMCA. He really enjoyed their conversations. I also had the opportunity to speak with him at the YMCA while I was home about 2 months ago. It was great catching up with him.

My deepest condolences to the Zimmer family. I will be praying for your family.

Just want to let all the Zimmers know how sorry I am. Chris was one of the finest men I have ever known-kind, smart, and so full of life. One of my favorite people on the planet. And he was a great uncle to my sons Sean and Ryan Zimmer
