Very pleasant memories of Dan while I was growing up, he was always smiling and very funny. I'm sure he will be missed by the family.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Grimmer Family. Going to seriously miss the best neighbor ever. Going to miss sitting on the back of his truck, in his driveway, talking in the summer time & leaving with greenbeans, tomatoes & a smile.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Grimmer family. I have known Danny my entire life from being out at the Quail Club. I will sure miss seeing that green truck pulling in the parking lot and him teasing me and calling me "Suzie". Who could forget those wonderful fresh green beans he would pick from the garden just for me, because he knew just how much I loved them. They were always delivered in a plastic bread bag with a smile. I know my dog Chase sure is going to miss him as well. Chase was always greeted with either a bone or a slim-jim from Danny. He would sit there and cut it piece by piece with his little pocket knife and feed it to him everytime he would see him. Danny will be missed by all who knew him and the Quail Club won't be the same without him.

To Kathy, "Aunt" Ginny, Danny & The entire Grimmer Family:
We were so sorry to hear about "Dapper's" passing. We are in Florida and won't be able to attend the funeral. Danny was a hoot. Told it like it was and didn't pull any punches. We loved him dearly and will surely miss him
at the Quail Club. Our deepest sympathies to all of you.

A few thoughts on my uncle over the years:
1) He floated down an iceberg just to get here (or so he says).
2) He still has a bowling team named after him (Dapper Dan's).
3) In a world of Cardinal fans, he maintained his Cub loyalty.
4) We will miss his his dedication to those people and organizations that surrounded him (and his cooking).
He personally made my early childhood days entertaining with his clubhouse shenanigans. My condolences to all his family.

My sincere sympathy to all. Our children grew up together when we lived on 35th street. They were great neighbors.

Your family was so blessed to have him in your life for so many years. I only met him a few times but heard about him all the time from Brian and Meghan. What a wonderful start to Gracie's life to have him in her life. Wednesday night suppers were such a gift! Deepest sympathy, Mel and Tad Armstrong
