David DeBourge Obituary
David Julius DeBourge, 80, of Swansea, Ill., born October 31, 1934, in Prairie de Rocher, Ill., died July 14, 2015, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. DeBourge proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after 24 years of service. He was a member of Knight of Columbus Belleville Council 1028, and a Fourth Degree member of Bishop Janssen Assembly 0199. He also belonged to the Metro East Coin & Currency Club. He was a loving father, and grandfather, who will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathryn, nee Jester, DeBourge; and his parents, Edgar and Theresa, nee Nivois, DeBourge.
Surviving are his children, Tony Meadows of Florida, Susan (Alfred) Wood of Troy, Ill., Gregory (Jennifer) DeBourge of O'Fallon, Ill., and Patricia (Ken) Phillips of Troy, Ill., and 12 grandchildren ranging in age from 7 to 33.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill. A Chalice Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral: Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday July 16, 2015, at the funeral home, with Fr. Dennis Voss officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.

My thoughts and prayers are with Dave's entire family. Dave was a great co-worker and friend. It was a pleasure working with him so many years at the Corps of Engineers. He was a wonderful man.

David was a dedicated coin club member and a real gentleman. I recall the Christmas party he and Kathryn hosted some years ago and what a great time everyone had. He will be missed.
