Donald Baker Sr.

Donald L. Baker, Sr., 78, of Collinsville, Ill., born on July 19, 1937 in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Baker retired after working 40 years in railroad security for the Terminal Railroad - Brooklyn Yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roderick R. and Naomi, nee Tedford, Baker; his daughter, Diane Baker; his granddaughter, Micah Jane Baker; and two sisters, Barbara Bartlett and Frieda Gould.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Baker, nee Kleier; his children, Rev. Donald Lee (Jane) Baker, Jr. of Granite City, Ill., Tammy Schoenbach of Belleville, Ill., Linda Baker of Belleville, Ill., Sandra Wiscombe of Belleville, Ill., Trina (Greg Henson, Jr.) Baker of Collinsville, Ill., Daniel (Heather) Baker of Collinsville, Ill., and Angel (Joe) Cline of Belleville, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Rev. Donald L. Baker, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, Ill.
