Earl Ebel

Earl E. Ebel, 78, of Belleville, Ill., born Sept. 2, 1935, in Belleville, Ill., died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Mr. Ebel retired as a field rating representative of ISO, Inc. He had served in the Air National Guard.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl C. and Teresa M., nee Rickert, Ebel; and a sister, Rochelle Ebel.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Jean S., nee Hock, Ebel, whom he married on Dec. 15, 1979; three sons and three daughters, Eric E. (Debbie) Ebel of Swansea, Ill., Jeffrey W. (Paula) Ebel of Texarkana, Texas, David L. Ebel and Debra A. Hoover, both of Grand Junction, Colo., and Jennifer L. Lippert and Nicole L. (Michael) White, both of Belleville, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Vancamp, Jessica White, Kathryn (Jake) Holle, Erica Hoover, Nicholas Ebel, Courtney White, and Kayla Ebel; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Bree Vancamp; two sisters and two brothers, Carol (Wayne) Biver of Keller, Texas, Marabeth (James) Coyne of Belleville, Ill., Bruce (Lisa) Ebel of Charleston, Ill., and Mark (Karen) Ebel of Belleville, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth York officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date.
