Elizabeth Cronan Obituary

Elizabeth M. Cronan

November 28, 1959 - April 10, 2024

Collinsville, Illinois - Elizabeth Marie Cronan (nee Amidgalos), of Collinsville, IL, passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 64.

Born to her adoring parents Theodore Amigdalos and Jeanne Franse on November 28,1959 in St. Louis, MO.

In her twenties, Beth looked for adventure and made the move to Daytona Beach, FL, where she spent her days soaking up the sun and everything the beaches had to offer. Years later, Beth made her way back home to her roots in Madison County where she reconnected with her family and friends who she enjoyed spending her time with.

Beth had a love for cooking, tending to the garden and relaxing with her two cats. Beth often talked about the various crafts she was working on. She found peace in making jewelry and candles that she enjoyed sharing with others.

Beth is preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother, children and grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Belleville Humane Society; https://bahspets.org/. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.schildknecht.com.

Beth was a good friend in high school always making me laugh. I´m so sad to hear of her passing. She will be missed.

I had the opportunity to get to know Beth during my time working with the Collinsville Senior Shuttle after she moved back to the Metro-East area from down South. Talking with her (usually about TV shows that we were watching) was always a bright spot in my day. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her, and may those who knew her the most find peace in knowing that she was a strong, funny smart and quick-witted individual who left an impression on many.

Looking at the photo of my precious daughter, Beth, this morning, tears flowed down my cheeks, but a smile followed, when wonderful memories of our time together overcame my grief.
Beth was a wonder...always finding new ways to express herself with her talent for crafts and enjoyed sharing the results with family and friends.
Beth enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved each one dearly.
The only thing a person can hope to achieve in their lifetime is not to be forgotten and I know Beth will remain in our hearts.
