I was sorry to learn of your loss, I always enjoyed Evelyns cheerful voice and
her smile.
I do check Obituaries when we are out of the area as we currently are.
She was a lovely person who I know will be dearly missed by all of you.

Evelyn Thurman
Evelyn A. "Evie" Thurman, 91, of Trenton, Ill., born April 28, 1919, in New Baden, Ill., died Wednesday March 2, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese, Ill.
Evie was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and Woman's Fellowship in Trenton, Order of the Eastern Star, past president, vice president and secretary of the Trenton Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph "Pokey" Thurman whom she married on Oct. 9, 1941 in St. Charles, Mo., and who died March 7, 1997; her parents, Charles and Margaret, nee Zapp, Peter; a daughter, Suellen Bair; and a sister-in-law, Vivian Peter.
Surviving are her son, Jerry (Dixie) Thurman of Pottsboro Texas; a son-in-law, Oliver (Marie) Bair of Trenton; seven grandchildren, Andrea (Aaron) Vogel, Rebecca Thurman, Marsha (John) Fox, Tim (Cheryl) Bair, Darrell (Darla) Bair, Susan (Dave) Peterson, and Lana (Jarrod) Tobin; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl Peter of Lexington, Ky.; and sisters, Dorothy Peter of Denver Colo., and Margie (Carl) Peter of Trenton.
Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Trenton, Ill. Expressions of sympathy can be sent to www.mossfuneralhome.com
Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2011, and 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011, at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton, Ill.
Funeral: Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday Mach 7, 2011, at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton with Rev. Linda Coulson officiating. Interment will be at Trenton Cemetery.
