Frank Schillinger

Frank A. "Al" Schillinger, 77, of Swansea, Ill., born July 23, 1932, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at his residence.

Frank worked for Illinois Bell in East St. Louis, Ill., and

Belleville, Ill., for 35 years. He was currently employed at Belleville Health and Sports Center. Frank was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Ill. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank A. and Elizabeth, nee Martin, Schillinger.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne M., nee Schindler, Schillinger; his three children, Cindy M. (Rich) Reiniger of Maryville, Ill., Alex J. (Jennifer) Schillinger of O'Fallon, Ill., and Stacy M. (Brian) Patton of Fairview Heights, Ill.; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Austin, Adam, Alexis, Madelyn, Ethan, Ryan, Ian and Samantha; his beloved dog, "Shelby"; two sisters, Betty (Bob) Hoops and Gloria Schaeffer; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral procession to leave at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, from Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill., for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Father Ray Schultz officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, Ill.
