Belleville, Illinois - Mr. George Edward Compton, 46 of Belleville, IL, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his home.
Born October 20, 1977, in Murray, KY, George was the son of Terry J. Compton of Belleville, IL and the late Laura Renee (Tremblay) Compton. He was a production employee of Empire Comfort Systems in Belleville, IL and was a graduate of Belleville East High School.
In addition to his father, those left to cherish memories of George include his daughter, Bella Compton of Belleville, IL; sister, Rachel Compton of Belleville, IL; grandmother, Sharon (Bazzell) Tremblay of New Concord, KY; aunts, Cheryl Slattery of St. Louis, MO and Cheryl Darnell of Benton, KY; uncles, Shawn Tremblay of New Concord, KY and Richard Tremblay of Columbia, IL; and nephew, Kaiden Crim of Belleville, IL.
George was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Compton; grandparents, Richard Carl Tremblay, George and Patricia Compton; and aunts, Penney Waggoner and Kerry Lynn Compton.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home in Murray, KY with Bro. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery, Murray, KY.
Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, October 16, 2024, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 S. 4th St., Murray, KY 42071.
