May 26, 1946 - October 18, 2025

Marissa, Illinois - Glenn Wayne Galle, 79, of Marissa, IL, born May 26, 1946, in Belleville, IL, passed away on Saturday October 18, 2025, at Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO from the effects of a stroke. He had been an employee of Spartan Printing in Sparta, IL. He retired from TMW in Red Bud, IL. Glenn was a successful businessman, a Marissa City board member for 13 years and had been a member of Frieden's UCC Church in Marissa, IL, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and belonged to the Mississippi Valley Gun Club, Stump Valley Gun Club, the World Shooting Complex in Sparta, IL and Graphic Arts International Union #383. He was also a volunteer at the Senior Center in Marissa, IL. Glenn was always a kind and giving man. He will be missed.

Preceding him in death were his parents - Carl and Marie (Eigenbord) Galle and his siblings - Lucinda (the late Russell) Smith and Carl Wilford Galle.

Surviving him are his loving wife - the former Janet Kay Wilburn, whom he married on October 3, 1965, in Belleville, IL, nieces and nephews - Steven (Pam Marshall) Smith, Ruth Richards, Janice Bartie, Sue Taylor, Sandra (Dave) Berg, Scott Galle and Terri Lynn Greff and by very dear friends - Ray, Vickie and Aaron Macke.

In keeping with Mr. Galle's wishes, cremation is to take place with no formal visitation or funeral services. But a celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
