Jacqueline Curtis

Jacqueline Curtis, 76, of Shiloh, Ill., born August 9, 1936 in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, April 7, 2013.

Jackie was a member of the Jehovah Witness in Belleville, Ill., and retired after 26 years as a certified nursing assistant at Collinsville Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Helen M., nee Asbury, Emmerich; and a son Patrick Curtis Sr.

Surviving are her two sons, Michael (Susan) Curtis and Stanley Curtis, both of Shiloh, Ill.; brothers, John (Vicky) Emmerich of Carlyle, Ill., James (Barbara) Emmerich of Wellsburg, W.Va., Thomas (Sheri) Emmerich of Pawnee, Ill., Joseph (Debbie) Emmerich of O'Fallon, Ill., and Patrick (Kim) Emmerich of Shiloh, Ill.; sisters, Mary Carrigan of O'Fallon, Ill., Jean Taylor of Shiloh, Ill., and Angela (Patrick) Simonds of Houston, Texas; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Jackie's sister, Jean Taylor, for the special care given to Jackie during the past 15+ years.

Funeral: At Jackie's request, her body will be cremated with private burial of the cremains at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
