Jane Fuhrmann Obituary
Jane L. Fuhrmann, nee Keller, of Smithton, Ill., born Feb. 20, 1925, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, May 16, 2011, at Cambridge House, Swansea, Ill.
Jane was the former owner, along with her husband Bill, of B&J Market in Smithton, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William W. Fuhrmann, whom she married on May 17, 1952, and who died March 17, 2005; and her parents, Frederick and Viola, nee Lindemann, Keller.
Surviving are two sons, William (Cindy) Fuhrmann of Swansea, Ill., and Anthony (Cherlyn) Fuhrmann of Collinsville, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Jamie (fiance, Alex Heuer), BJ, Colin (Taylor), Quinn, Evan, and Paulina Fuhrmann; a sister, Jean Norton of Massachusetts; and a brother-in-law, Robert (Martha) Fuhrmann of Florida.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Smithton, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Smithton, Ill., with the Rev. Paul Hemenway officiating. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Smithton, Ill.

Dear Tony, Cherlyn & family, We were so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Please extend our sympathy to your brother and family, also. Jane was always a dear and friendly person and I know she will be missed by all of you. Losing your "mom" is never easy. God be with you all and just know we are thinking of you and your family.

Bill,Tony and Families - I am so sorry, I really thought she would live forever! Aunt Jane was a very special person - I loved her a lot and will miss our little notes. I was so sorry to read of Jane's passing. I always enjoyed and had great fun visiting with Jane and Bill at the Stamper's house and at the store. They were such wonderful people. My sympathy to the entire family.

I'm sorry to read about Jane. I truly enjoyed working for your folks and getting to know their family. I can't help thinking of them each day when I pass the "old store" on my way to and from work, hoping to catch a glimpse of Jane. They were both truly remarkable people.
