Jane Yost Obituary
Jane, a wife who devoted her marriage to the sacred heart of Jesus, may her candle shine brightly.
Jane L. Yost, age 91, of Fairmont City, IL, born on January 9, 1927 in East St. Louis, IL died on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Elmwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Maryville, IL.
Mrs. Yost was a telephone operator at AT&T Telephone Company for 25 years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL. She lectured at the church, was a rector house keeper, taught PSR, as well as volunteered as a tutor at Holy Rosary Grade School. Jane was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jane, nee Gleason, Pierpoint; her first husband, Robert F. Hagarty; her second husband, George M. Yost; her son, David William Hagarty; her daughter, Dorothy Lynne "Dottie" Daubach; her son-in-law, Frank Murphy; her great-grandson, Mark Edward Etzbach Jr.; her brother, Robert Pierpoint; and her nephew, Wayne Pierpoint.
Surviving are her four children, Diane (Walt) Giesing of Quincy, IL, Robert "Dale" Hagarty of New Baden, IL, Deborah (Phil) Mahony of Alton, IL, and Doug Hagarty of Collinsville, IL; her son-in-law, David Daubach; her three step-daughters, Georgia Yost of Wood River, IL, Janet (Ray) Kreker of Hecker, IL, and Judy (Jim) Griffith of Edwardsville, IL; her 17 grandchildren; many loving great-grandchildren; her sister, Carol (Fred) Tucker of Fairview Heights, IL; her sister-in-law, Julie Pierpoint; and her dear friend and caregiver, Judy Noascono of Maryville, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the form of Masses to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL.
Visitation: Friends may visit from 10:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL with Father Clyde Grogan officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.

Debbie & Phil, Fred & I are so sorry to hear of Jane's passing. She was a dear friend of Holy Rosary School. She loved children and would offer her time to listen to them read, taught CCD classes on Sunday, and was around to support anything we did at school. She will be missed at church and in the community. She and George were a joy to be around, both were very unselfish people and loved to help others . My heart goes out to you Debbie, losing a Mom is very difficult, may God send you the peace of His Holy Spirit at this time.

I was just remembering Jane Lee piling all of us in the old green car to St Philip's on very cold mornings . She was a dear and always very funny. Glad she found love and happiness along with her pride in all of her children.
