Jerome Bone Obituary
Jerome B. "Jerry" Bone, 81, of Caseyville, Ill., born Oct. 31, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo., died on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Jerry was a United States Navy veteran. He retired from Bi-State Transit after 45 years as a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Boyd; and his parents, Boyd and Josephine, nee Gaddell, Bone.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Mae, nee Gardner, Bone; his children, Jo (Virgil) Stogner of Caseyville, Ill., Jerry (Sheila) Bone of Belleville, Ill., Vicky (Greg) Grady of Caseyville, Ill., and Cindy (Tom) Feinberg of Chesapeake, Va.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.kasslyfuneral.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at St Stephen's Catholic Church, Caseyville, Ill.
Funeral: Memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Caseyville, Ill., with Father Joe Rascher officiating. Interment of ashes will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo. Per Jerry's wishes he was cremated.
