Oakland, Tennessee - John was born to Louis and Catherine Aleman' on January 22, 1942 in East St. Louis, Illinois. He attended Holy Rosary School and proudly graduated from Assumption High School in 1960. During his time at Assumption, he earned the nickname "Bulldog" for his dominance and tenacity on the football field. In October, 1960 he met Sharon Haught who would be the love of his life. They married on July 29, 1961. Four loving daughters would complete their family.
John was a faithful Catholic and member of St. Philip the Apostle Church in Somerville, Tennessee. He passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee with Sharon and Colleen by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home in Oakland, Tennessee, daughters Kelly (James) Morrison of Owasso, Oklahoma, Colleen (Jarlath) Gibbons of Oakland, Tennessee, Maureen Macey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Kathleen (Jason) Haugle of Jackson, Tennessee. Grandchildren, Avery (Douglas) Finley, Siobhan Hollis, Donovan (Sarah) Gibbons, John (Jordan) Spoon, Dylan (Kassie) Spoon, Emma Haugle and Will Haugle. Great-grandchildren, Harper Finley, Dewayne Reece, Shelby Gibbons, Jaxon Spoon and Rhett Spoon. Brothers Anthony (JoAnn) Aleman', Art (Dana) Aleman', Fred (Mary) Aleman', Peter Aleman' and Christopher (Joanie) Aleman'. Sisters, Rosemarie (Frank) Ortiz, Susan (Jim) Schuler, Lupe Aleman' and Mary Beth Aleman' as well as his Uncle Jim and Aunt Jenny Cook and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Catherine, sister Evelyn (Robert) Duraski, brothers Louis Aleman', Jr. (survived by wife Patricia) and Frank Aleman' (survived by wife Josefana), nephews Louis John Aleman' III and Christopher K. Aleman'.
John loved big and was loved even bigger. We will miss him very much.
