John Bievenue

May 29, 1946 - January 6, 2024

Maryville, Illinois - John Henry Bievenue, age 77 of Maryville, IL, born May 29, 1946, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

John retired from Lambert Airport as a stationary engineer. He also spent time in the United States Army from 1966 to 1972, obtaining the National Defense Service Medal, the Marksman Badge, and the Good Conduct Medal. John enjoyed the shooting range and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rosalie (nee Brown) Bievenue; and four sisters: Rosemary, Norma, Delores, and Sue.

Surviving are his son, Aaron Bievenue of Golden Valley, AZ; daughter, Michaela Cahalin and her husband, Matt, of Wood River, IL; and two grandchildren: A'Don and Cayden Bievenue.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1 p.m., with full military honors.

Memorials are suggested to the Maryville Fire Department and can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
