Joyce Mirielli Obituary
Joyce E. Mirielli, nee Dryden, 70, of Freeburg, Ill., born Thursday, Nov. 26, 1942, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Joyce worked as an LPN for the U.S. Government. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Fairview Heights, Ill. She was a past secretary for the Alorton Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and past president of Midway Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Mirielli; parents, William and Grace, nee Feige, Dryden; daughters, Sylvia Mirielli and Rita Mirielli; a brother, Charles Dryden; and sisters, Gloria Dryden and Carol McLane.
Surviving are her children, Paula Elliott of Freeburg, Ill., Charles (Eva) Green of Freeburg, Ill., and Edward (Becky) Mirielli of Columbia, Mo.; brothers, William "Bill" (Anna) Dryden of Carlyle, Ill., Daniel Dryden of Freemont, Neb., and Lawrence (Elva) Davis of California; sisters, Peggy Dryden of Collinsville, Ill., and Roxann Dryden; grandchildren, Jennifer Moore, Lindsey Mirielli, Chance Green, Bobby Elliott, Nicholas Mirielli, and Hunter Green; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or to the family for funeral expenses. Condolences may be expressed online at www.kurrusfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Chaplain Cari Frus officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
