Juliette Gruber Obituary

Juliette Gruber
Juliette E. Gruber nee Elder, 97, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born Sept. 9, 1910, in Mobile, Ala., died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at the Dammert Geriatric Center at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Gruber worked as a secretary for ALCOA for more than 35 years and was a member of the Eastern Star Queen City Chapter 697 OES.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Siebuhr; her second husband, Joseph E. Gruber; her parents, Charles F. and Elizabeth, nee Hendricks, Elder; her brothers, Clyde O. Elder, Vilas H. Elder Sr., and a niece, Janet Gruber Yonke.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Faith Welshans-Hogan, Hope Spragins, Vilas H. Elder Jr., Ruth Chady, JoAnn Auer, Charles Auer, and Dr. Frank Gruber; and dear cousins.
A special thank you to all the staff of the Dammert Center at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or Family Hospice of Belleville Area.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at Kurrus Funeral Home Chapel with Father Clyde Grogan officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
