Highland, Illinois - Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Sinclair, age 78, of Highland, IL, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 30, 1947, in East St. Louis, IL, to the late Ted and Lorraine (née Woodward) Chochorowski.
A 1965 graduate of St. Teresa's Academy, Kathy built a distinguished career as a financial analyst before retiring from government service. Faith was central to her life, and she was a devoted member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, IL.
On February 10, 1973, Kathy married the love of her life, Michael Sinclair, who preceded her in death on March 27, 2017.
Kathy is survived by her three siblings, Debbie (John) Howard, Vicki (John) Lawanas, and Teddy (Janet) Chochorowski; her sister-in-law, Susie Sinclair; and two brothers-in-law, Tom Sinclair and James (Dorothy) Sinclair. She also leaves behind many beloved Sinclair nieces, as well as nieces and nephews Angela (Jason) Owen, Jennifer (John Deibert) Pfister (the late John Pfister), Michael Lawanas, Andrew Lawanas, and Megan (Navid) Bagheri.
Her legacy continues through her great-nieces and great-nephews: Molli (Jeff) Gieseking, Maci Pfister, Maggie Pfister, Victoria Owen, Jacob Owen, Ava Bagheri, Isabella Bagheri, and Zayn Bagheri; and her great-great-niece, Hazel Gieseking.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with Father Rob Johnson serving as celebrant. Private burial will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Memorials in Kathy's honor are suggested to Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or Shriner's Children's Hospital. Contributions will be received at the visitation or may be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
