Kelly Nobbe Obituary
Kelly Nicole Nobbe, nee Burk, 26, of Waterloo, Ill., born Feb. 24, 1983, in Belleville, Ill., died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, in Waterloo, Ill.
Kelly was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church. She worked as a waitress at Annbriar Golf Course. Kelly received a master's degree at SIU Edwardsville in exercise physiology.
She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers, Bernard Geolat and Edwin Burk; grandmother, Gladys Burk; and an aunt, Betty Mohme.
Surviving are her husband, Jared Nobbe; parents, Randall and Nancy Burk; brothers, Todd and Tyler Burk; father and mother-in-law, Tom and Jane Nobbe; brother-in-law, Brad Nobbe; maternal grandmother, Joan Geolat; aunts and uncles, Cindy (Buster) DelaRoche, Peggy Geolat, Patti Geolat, Ben (Carol) Geolat, Larry (Carol) Burk, Mary Burk, and Tammy Ripperda; grandparents-in-law, Edward and Joyce Nobbe and Lawrence and Betty Beckerle; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Grade School or Gibault Catholic High School. www.quernheimfuneralhome.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Waterloo, Ill., with Father Stan Konieczny and Deacon Ron Karcher officiating. Burial will be in Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo, Ill.

Jared,
My heart continues to break for you. The heavens were weeping at the cemetary & when the service was over, it stopped raining. I guess we will have to accept that Kelly can only live in our hearts & memories as she will. She never came to my house without a bouquet of flowers. I will continue that tradition by bringing flowers to her as often as I can. I may see you at the cemetary from time to time. Until then, know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I did not hear about this until Sat. evening when Bob and Joe Blaies told us. We wish we would have know so we could have attended the services. It's taken days to try to write something on here that everyone has not already said about Kelly. Her heart was huge, her smile as big, and her love for Jared, Family, and Friends unimaginable.
I am still trying to find reason as to why God needed her in his Kingdom- but it can easily be said that He recieved one of the most beautiful, loving, deserving people this earth has to offer.
As all of us are, I offer my deepest sympathy to Jared and all the Nobbe family Kelly touched; Nancy, Randy, Todd, and Tyler as well the many other member of her family; her St. James Family; her SIUE family; and finally our Gibault family, which I am a proud member of.
I pray that we all recieve some kind of peace within this tragic time. It can easily be said that we will all keep Kelly alive in our memories, stories, and hearts until we one day see her again.
