Ken was also preceded in death by his dear son, Keith Merod, his stepmother, Millie Merod, his stepbrother, Dennis Rohn and his brother-in-law, Mel Becker.
Ken was born on the family farm in rural Belleville, IL and graduated from Belleville Township High School. He was also a man of faith and was very active in Trinity Lutheran Church of Millstadt and served as a trustee. He was a fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball and could often be found enjoying a game on TV. Ken was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 52 years, Judy Merod, nee Buecher of Millstadt, IL whom he married on June 21, 1969 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt. His son, Robert (Mary) Merod of O'Fallon, IL, his sister, Jeanette Becker of Belleville, IL, his brother-in-law, Robert Buecher of St. Louis, MO, his stepsister, Betty Schuchmann of Belleville, IL, his beloved grandchildren, Luke and Maddie Merod of O'Fallon, IL; his nieces and nephews: Bruce (Pam) Becker, Mary Schaefer, Mark (Linda) Becker, Dale (Cathy) Becker and Karen (Judy Pecina) Becker in addition to many beloved friends.
