Kevin Mohr Obituary
Kevin J. Mohr, 46, of New Athens, Ill., born July 26, 1962, at Red Bud, Ill., died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Mohr was a member of St. Agatha Catholic Church in New Athens, Ill., and the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. Kevin was an avid gardener and loved spending time with his family.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Norman W. Mohr and Barbara L., nee Haubrich, Mohr-Haefner.
Surviving are his sister, Beth Ann (Jeffrey) Voelkel of New Athens, Ill.; nephews, Daniel J. Voelkel, Joshua W. Voelkel and Caleb C. Voelkel, all of New Athens, Ill.; niece, Sara R. Voelkel of New Athens, Ill.; two uncles, Harold "Joe" (Ann) Haubrich Jr., John H. (Mary) Haubrich, both of New Athens, Ill.; and cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009, and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, Ill. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral: Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, at St. Agatha Catholic Church in New Athens, Ill. Interment will be in the church cemetery in New Athens, Ill.

We are sad to hear of the loss of your brother. He had such a talent as a musician. He was a wonderful person to work with. I first met Kevin at Rons One Stop in New Athens where we both worked. He always had a kind word for everyone and such a nice smile inside and out. We are very sorry for your loss. May God Bless you and your Family at this time.

I was so sorry to hear about Kevin. I met him when we worked together at the nursing home and then again at Siemens. He used to ride with me to work. My 2 girls loved to ride by his place at Christmas time to see his lights and decorations. He will be missed.

My sympathy goes out to you on the loss of kevin. I first met Kevin at my aunts house. (Helen Juenger). He was a wonderful organ player. And he loved life. may the lord bless you during this time of sorrow.
