Lawrence Goodhue Sr.

Lawrence L. "Chuck" Goodhue Sr., 70, of Potomac, Ill., born Sept. 18, 1942, in Horse Cave, Ky., passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at home surrounded by his family.

Lawrence was a farmer for 51 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being on the tractor, playing baseball with his boys, and talking about his favorite team, the New York Yankees.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollin Goodhue and Mary Spencer; a sister; and a brother.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Jean, nee Henry, Goodhue, whom he married on March 12, 1961, in Paris, Ill.; children, Rollin (Mary Martin) Goodhue, Lawrence (Judy Billman) Goodhue Jr., Brenda (Eddie) John, David (Teresa) Goodhue, and Clarenda (Bernie) McCarty; a sister, Margaret (Lambert) Steele; a brother-in-law, Leonard (Linda) Henry; two sisters-in-law, Beverlyn Dengler and Kathryn (Cecil) Potter; a special aunt, Margie Crain; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Home, Potomac, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Potomac Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Randy Holden officiating. Burial will follow the service in Embury Cemetery.
