Leroy Guebert

Leroy A. Guebert, 93, of Red Bud, Illinois, born on May 11, 1924 in Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 11:50 am, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at his residence.

Leroy was a farmer. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois. Leroy was a member of the Randolph County Farm Bureau and the Pork Producers. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed cattle auctions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Clara (nee Obst) Guebert; his wife, Delores F. (nee Huetsch) Guebert, whom he married on November 18, 1950, at St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud, who passed on February 8, 2014; a son, Darrell "Gabby" Guebert; a brother, Raymond Guebert; and two daughters-in-law, Sherry Guebert and Jeanne Guebert.

Survivors include three children, Kenny (Donna) Guebert of Red Bud, IL, Brenda Stout (friend, Ross Nagel), and Jyneane (Brian) Stellhorn, all of Red Bud, IL; a sister, Gladys Brand of Red Bud, IL; friend and caregiver, Peggy Minemann of Baldwin, IL; five grandchildren, Clinton (Jennifer) Guebert, Jodi Stout, Danielle (Patrick) McCarthy, Kacy Guebert and Nicole (Brad) Geller; nine great-grandchildren, Sela McCarthy, Callum McCarthy, Savanna Guebert, Kaylin Jany, Shane Hobeck, Brogan Geller, Brynn Klein, Lauren Klein, and Gabriella Guebert; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: Visitation from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Red Bud, Illinois, and again Monday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud.

Services: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 5, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois, with Rev. Mark Nebel and Rev. Russell Koen officiating. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Red Bud.
