Lloyd LeFrancois

Lloyd Joseph LeFrancois, 85, of Belleville Ill., born Oct. 8, 1928, in St. Louis Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, in Edwardsville Ill.

Lloyd graduated in 1946 from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, Mo. He worked many years for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, before becoming an agent for State Farm Insurance, where he retired in 1995. Lloyd was an avid sportsman, hunting and fishing at every opportunity. He played rugby in his younger years and golf with friends later in life. He was a long time member of Ducks Unlimited and The Belleville Optimists.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nita, nee Petty, LeFrancois; his parents, Lloyd Joseph and Ruby, nee Henerfouth, LeFrancois; his mother-in-law, Gladys Miller; his sister Sandra, nee LeFrancois, Vlasak; and his son-in-law Jim Hubert.

Surviving are his children, Cindy, nee LeFrancois, and John Neville of Gravois Mills, Mo.; Joe and Janice, nee Rapp, LeFrancois III of O'Fallon, Ill.; Nancy, nee LeFrancois, Hubert of Trenton, Ill.; and grandchildren, BJ and Rene‚, nee Henke, Neville; Shawn and Kara, nee Westlake, Neville, all of Smithton, Ill.; James and Theresa, nee Hof, Hubert, of Belleville, Ill.; Kelly, nee Hubert, and Dave Friederich of O'Fallon, Ill.; Griffin and Abbey, nee Manfucci, LeFrancois of Kirkwood, Mo.; and great-grandchildren, Owen Williams, Tristan Friederich, Nikola Hubert and Jace Friederich; a brother-in-law, Erv Vlasak; niece and nephews, Robyn, John and Joe, cousins and many friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at Kurrus Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville, Ill.
