Louis DeRienzo
Louis A. DeRienzo, 69, of Swansea, Ill., born Jan. 24, 1937, in St. Louis, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at his home.
Mr. DeRienzo was a retired electrician and maintenance engineer for the State of Missouri. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., and a member of the church choir and the men's club. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Belleville Council 1028. Louis was a U. S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Rose, nee Russo, DeRienzo; and a brother, Nicholas DeRienzo.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ginny, nee Zak, DeRienzo, whom he married Nov. 27, 1970; a son, Matthew (Susan) DeRienzo of Kissimmee, Fla.; a daughter, Carol (Kent) McNutt of Jefferson City, Mo.; a sister Carmen Webb of St. Louis, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Connor and Brenna McNutt, and Lauren and Lilly DeRienzo.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus 4th degree Chalice Service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 9:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., with the Rev. John Myler officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
