Louise Gregson

Louise M. Gregson, 77, of Red Bud, Ill., born Feb. 18, 1936, in Hecker, Ill., died at 12:37 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Mrs. Gregson had worked at Synder General in Red Bud, Ill., and the Ruma Convent in Ruma, Ill. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Gregson, whom she married on June 11, 1955, in Hecker, Ill., and who died June 22, 1999; her parents, Henry and Mary, nee Parker, Birkner; and two brothers, Zeno and Glen Birkner.

Surviving are her two sons, Walter E. (Mary) Gregson of Red Bud, Ill., and Willis (Angie) Gregson of Waterloo, Ill.; two daughters, Debbie (Joe) Donjon of Red Bud, Ill., and Diane (Brad) DeMond of Red Bud, Ill.; a sister, Valeda (Ermin) Brinkman of Waterloo, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Alberta Snell of Red Bud, Ill., and Marian Gregson of Red Bud, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, Jill (Russ) Nobbe, Kyle (Carrie) Donjon, Wally (Jennifer) Gregson, Derrick (Dee Dee) Gregson, Courtney Gregson (fiance Alex Guebert), Jennifer (Chris) Schield, Jeremy DeMond, Jeffrey DeMond, Shane Gregson, Audrey Gregson (fiance Josh Schoenbeck) and Rachel Gregson; and six great-grandchildren, Hayden and Faith Gregson, Holly and Henry Gregson and Grant and Tess Nobbe.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, and 8 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Red Bud, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Ill., with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer officiating. Burial will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Red Bud, Ill.
