Belleville, Illinois - Lucille Sudol, of Belleville passed away quietly on Monday evening, May 31, 2021. Lucy was beloved and adored by all who knew her. With her quick wit and her keen mind, being with Lucy was always a joy, never boring. Lucy had many interests, but learning, travelling, and spending time with family and friends were the things she enjoyed the most. All who knew Lucy are the better for it, and she will be missed sorely.
She was a member of Signal Hill United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, PEO Chapter GM, Thursday Literary Club, and William McKendree Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thaddeus Sudol, parents, William and Hattie, nee Borchardt, sisters, Marion Miller, Evangeline Kleist, brothers, Robert Douville, Arthur Douville, nephews, Bruce Kleist, Craig Douville.
Surviving are her nephews, Douglas (Patty) Douville of Holladay, UT, Gerry (Carolyn) Kleist of Riverview of FL, William (Susan) Douville of South Lake, TX, Dr. Arthur Douville, Jr. of Los Gatos, CA, Dr. Robert Douville, Jr. of Key West, FL, and dear great nieces and nephews.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Signal Hill United Methodist Church or Salvation Army.
Visitation: Visitation from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Arthur Francis officiating. Private interment will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. Live streaming can be viewed at time of service at www.facebook.com/KurrusFH on Thursday, June 3, at 12:00 pm.

Lucy.. For it was always be a pleasure to see you and Thad when you would come to R.I. dad(Joe Sudol)Thad's 1st cousin..My children remembered when you read them a story "Piglets at Sea"I still called you from time to time even when mom, dad,and Thad passed away..But you are all together in Heaven like the good old days....God bless you!!
