Nina Tang
Nina S. Tang, nee Kou, 78, of Acton, Mass., formerly of Concord , Mass., passed away suddenly on Aug. 6, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. Tang born in Beijing, China on Oct. 16, 1930, was the daughter of the late National Chinese Diplomat Den Chi and Chi Chu Kou. Raised and educated by Christian Congregation Missionaries in China, Mrs. Tang was a graduate of Tai Pei University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microwave Engineering, one of only three women. She also graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science.
Mrs. Tang was a long time resident of Concord, Mass., where she was a loving and caring mother to her three children. She was also employed for many years as a computer programmer and more recently as a software engineer with TJX Corporation before her retirement.
An independent woman, Mrs. Tang was one of the few people who could still drive a car at her senior community. She enjoyed doing errands at the Concord Post Office, TJ Max in Cambridge, Mass., and taking care of fellow members of her senior community.
Surviving are her children, Lili Dawidowicz of Trenton, Ill., Juliet Tang of Starkville, Miss., and Gary Vinant-Tang of Temecula, Calif.; her four grandchildren, Audrey, Clovis, Dexter and Bayard Vinant-Tang; and a brother, Sam Kou of Summit, N.J.

Funeral: A funeral service was held on Tuesday in the Concord Funeral Home, at Belknap and Thoreau Streets in Concord, Mass., with the Rev. Dr. John C. Lombard officiating. Interment followed in the family lot in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Mass.
