Patsy Zankl Obituary
Patsy J. Zankl, nee Mayo, 84, of Swansea, Ill., born Tuesday, Aug. 9, 1932, in Hickman, Ky., died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at her residence.
Patsy worked as a Grant Specialist with 29 years of service at Southwestern Illinois College. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Patsy loved to read books and drink Pepsi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas J. Zankl; parents, Edward and Willie, nee Bailey, Mayo; son, Daniel Zankl; and many brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her son, Nicholas A. (fiance Mary K. Molloy) Zankl of Godfrey, Ill.; Grandchildren, Amy (Tony) Trost of Swansea, Ill., Nicholas J. Zankl, II of Godfrey, Ill., Sean (Kris) Stone of Godfrey, Ill., and Katie Stone of Godfrey, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Kaylie, Olivia, Madison, Donovan, and Jensen; and sisters, Betty Migneron of O'Fallon, Mo. and Clara Beatty of Waterloo, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Faith Baptist School or Alton Symphony Orchestra. Condolences may be expressed online at www.kurrusfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church in Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Baker officiating. There will be a private family burial.
