Pearl Keys

Pearl Carrie Keys, 92, of O'Fallon, Ill., born June 13, 1918, in O'Fallon, Ill., died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, in O'Fallon Ill.

Pearl was an employee of 1st National Bank for over 20 years. She was a member of the O'Fallon United Church of Christ, Women's Guild, 50+ Club and the Ladies of the Moose.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Keys whom she married on Oct. 14, 1939, at O'Fallon United Church of Christ and who died Oct. 25, 2001; her parents, John and Ida, nee Schmidt, Hartman; a sister, Della Dressel; and a granddaughter, Carrie Margaret Hamlin.

Surviving are her three daughters, Carol (Lonnie) Karius of Highland, Ill., Bets (Bob) Hamlin of Shiloh, Ill., and Barbara "Babs" (Art) Louv of Orlando, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Russ) Perfetti of Highland, Ill., Michelle (Mark) Schnepel of Waterloo, Ill., Stephanie (John) Merkle of Bloomington, Ill., Amy (Jason) Wagenknecht of Kirkwood, Mo., Kristin (Jeff) Clarke of Orlando, Fla., Cortney Cavevari of Baton Rouge, La., Brittnay Biliotti and husband Steven Tate of Burbank, Calif.; 16 great-grandchildren, Alec Perfetti, Blake Perfetti, Martin O'Donnell, Brandon O'Donnell, Jack Schnepel, Wil Schnepel, Garrett Merkle, Clay Merkle, Carrie, Chloe and Chase Wagenknecht, Cameron Rohme, Alexandria Clarke, Barrett Sauter, Avery Canevari, and Nicholas Canevari; and three great nieces.

Memorials, in honor of Pearl, may be made to O'Fallon United Church of Christ or donor's choice. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.schildknechtfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, and 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at Schildknecht Funeral Home and Cremation Services, O'Fallon, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at O'Fallon United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Martha Thierheimer officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
