Richard Adams
Richard E. Adams, 71, of Collinsville, Ill., born March 11, 1937, in Hannibal, Mo., died Sun., March 23, 2008, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Mr. Adams was owner and operator of Circle Sewer Service and Adams Asphalt and Paving for 45 years. He served in the army during the Korean War; was a member of Son Life Church, Collinsville, Ill., for 27 years, the Masons of Bethalto, Ill., the Eagles Lodge, and the Moose Lodge of Collinsville, Ill., the Ainad Shriner and was an Ainad Clown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert Wade and Ruth Ellen, nee Collins, Adams; many brothers; and sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Iris J., nee Lankford, Adams; a daughter, Mechell L., nee Adams, (Kelly) Manring; two grandchildren, Arminda R. and Aaron R. Manring; three brothers, Everett (Joan) Rickey, Fred (Sandy) Adams, and James (Bobbie) Adams; two sisters, Patricia (Willard) Patterson and Betty (James) Crenshaw; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill., with the Rev. Dennis Amsden officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
